I missed going to the state fair last summer. At the beginning of the week it was only supposed to be in the low 80's but today was in the 90's. We got an early enough start so it wasn't too hot. I absolutely loved the animals and quilts. We enjoyed some wine tasting as well too.
I love to take photos, make quilts and camping. Most of my photos are taken around Missouri, the state I was born and raised in. I hope you enjoy my photos and love my great state as much as I do!

2016 Missouri State Fair
Every year we love to go to the state fair! Today was a great day with temps right around 80. Perfect fair weather! I wasn't as impressed with the quilts this year. I thought the prettiest ones were in the cases. My husband and I watched the 4H kids with their dogs, my camera was acting up so no photos. We got so tickled with a little girl and her Corgi. He barked a lot and failed at the sit and stay! But they made the cutest team! I wish I would have videoed them! I loved seeing all the breeds of dogs. Some were gorgeous and some, not so. But that Corgi was too cute! He reminded us of our Corgi, Rascal.
I wish the horses were there but only a few draft but we still had as great time! But the best thing of all, I won a ribbon for a photo!

Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival
We could not of asked for better weather today. Temperatures in the low 70's and clear skies. California, MO had their annual Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival. My husband, my daughter, her friend, my grandson and myself had a nice time. I love all the craft booths and we had some wonderful food from El Salvador called pupupas. Pork, beans and cheese fried in a homemade tortilla topped with a slaw and salsa. Very tasty!
