It's Snowing!

I have to admit it, I'm one of those crazy people who likes snow. As do my dogs. It has been such a warm December, my phlox thought it was Spring. I love the snow but I could do without the wind! Gusts up to 50 are crazy.

Foggy December Morning

Foggy morning walk. Temps are supposed to fall all day. Going to be a cold week ahead.

Christmas Quilt

Not sure if I want to hang this, use it, or give it to my mom. This is my first Christmas quilt.

More quilts

Some of my quilts are back from the quilting lady and ready to give for Christmas gifts. The pink and brown is for my cousin, Laura, and it's Dudley approved! The black and batik is for my brother. I washed them but my brother's looks like all my dgos and cat rolled on it. I'm going to use the pet hair remover on it.

Mug Rugs are finished

Everybody love them and I should have made a lot more of them. Or maybe I can make more but for different seasons, that would be cute!

And my dad's quilt is done as well.

Moda's gift box quilt pattern

I was trying to figure out what to make for my brother, the only person in my immediate family, who doesn't own a quilt I've made. I found this great pattern on Moda's Blog yesterday. I'm using batik fabric. As always, Pinky has to try out the quilt top. I think she likes it.

Love this fabric

I've been holding on to this fabric for years. I think it's so cute, I wanted it to be for someone special. Who is more special than my first grand child? I had to put the other one away. I ran out of the green fabric for the border so I jumped to this one.

Christmas Quilt

I finally have a Christmas quilt. I had all the fabric, never got around to it. Might have to get a part time job to get my quilts finished! Have to get ready to vote. Have a good day!

Baby shower and my grandson's baby quilt top

Today I went to a baby shower, for an in law, who's having twins. They had some really cute ideas for things that my mother in law and I will do when it comes to my daughter's baby shower. Here's some photos of the shower and my grandson's quilt top.
Rubber duckies in the punch.

Diaper cakes
Mini cheesecakes that were wonderful and cream puffs.

And my first grand child, a boy, is due March 1st. My daughter went with a Monster theme, I can't tell you how hard it is to find fabric, but I found some.

Quilt gifts

I finished my dad's quilt and my cousin's quilt. I did mess up on my dad's but didn't notice until the borders were on. Next I'm doing a batik lap quilt for my brother's Christmas gift.

Mug Rugs

My good friend and I spent the day making mug rugs and playing with his son. I had a very nice time!

I went over to learn how to do it but it's not my thing. Maybe I'll try it again but he does a great job!

Meramec State Park 2012 - 3rd annual trip

This is my favorite camping trip every year. The kids trick or treat the campsites, it's so much fun being we live so far out, we don't get any at our house. The cutest costume but a boy dressed up like a golfer back in the day. Had nickers on and argyle socks, a hat, vest and carrying a putter. Really cute!

Dudley and Jake. Jake loves that purple fuzzy slipper. Takes it everywhere.

Cousin's quilt

My cousin and I were born on the exact same day. So when she asked me to make her a quilt, how could I say no? She asked for brown and pink. Here it is so far.

Halloween quilt/wall hanging

A friend had to help me with the binding but it's finally finished and going to it's new home soon. Unless she doesn't want it, then it will stay with me. I'm working on a blue and white queen size quilt for my daughter as well. That is going to take me a while.
I also need to figure out what to do for my brother's gift. I bought mostly darker jewel tone fabric for him but haven't found a pattern I like yet. My cousin asked me to make a pink and brown quilt for her bed. And then an old friend wants me to make a quilt out of Crown Royal bags. So many quilts, so little time.

Sept. camping trip to Arrow Rock, MO

We had a really nice time but what could go wrong, with my camper, seemed to. I don't know if mice got in it and chewed the wires but my A/C, microwave, sterio and most plug ins, would not work. But we made the best of it and decided to take the camper to be fixed tomorrow. I'm glad we stayed!
We roasted marshmallows both nights by the toasty fire.

A biplan flew over the campgrounds.

The dogs resting while we had lunch.

Beautiful sunset with geese flying.

The town of Arrow Rock. Very pretty!

We went to the town of Black Water, not far from Arrow Rock. I was told about a lady who had a store there. She bought it at 80 years old and is now 92. She makes homemade pies and sews quilts and things. She was very nice and I really enjoyed talking to her. The photo above is the old hotel in Black Water.

A windmill sit in the center of town.

One of the many antique stores in Black Water.

 Back to Arrow Rock.
There was a big antique auction in Arrow Rock. A lot of nice things being sold, I saw cars from all over the US. We had such a nice time at Arrow Rock State Park.
