First Soccer Game of 2019

We missed his first game due to camping trip but we made it to this game. He did a great job controlling the soccer ball. Practice makes perfect! I am thrilled my grandson loves soccer. My husband and I both love the sport.

Camping at the Lake of the Ozarks Sept 13 - 15

My friend bought a newer camper. He purchased a 29 ft. with a slide and he wanted to pull it somewhere close before we take off on farther trips with hills. We planned our trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. It is close enough yet hilly enough he can see how his Chevy 1500 would do. They are looking at a bigger truck. Meanwhile I picked the weekend of Bike Fest! Over 90,000 bikers were rumbling around the lake. Now normally, State Parks are quiet and not too rowdy. Not last weekend though. They rolled in at 11:30 and a few found it funny to rev the motors. I used to have a bike myself. Two Harley. My 1200 Sportster was incredibly loud. Now I prefer to listen to the birds and the kids playing. The crackle of the campfires. Needless to say, next year, this weekend in September, we will go away from the Lake of the Ozarks. There were a lot of deer this camping trip. Fun to see the young ones with spots jump around.. The lake was back up to it's bank. Beautiful just too loud!

Labor Day Weekend 2019

September is here and the temperatures are cooling off. Yesterday we attended, Our Lady of the Snows church picnic, in Mary's Home. Wonderful as always! My grandson started first grade last week and we are looking forward to Fall camping trips! I started on another quilt, this one is for my daughter. Herringbone is the pattern. And I rescued two trapped racoons in the dumpster at work. They keep climbing in there and then cant get out. So I use some thing I found to make them a away to get out. It was really hot that day and the lids were closed so they couldn't get out. I wasn't about to leave them. They scurried out of the dumpster in less than 30 minutes.
Anyway, we are ready for Fall temps and chili! Fall is my favorite season!
