Christmas 2018

Yesterday, we took my brother to the train and today I took my sister back to St Louis. Below are photos from Christmas as well as earlier in December. But I made it through another Christmas and after tomorrow, I've made it through 2018! I had a lot of wonderful things happen this year! I got a job I loved, I got to see my brother twice this year, (normally it is only at Christmas), I visited my sister in Maryland. (I had never been to Maryland before) and I got to go on my first, ladies only, camping trip. All in all, it was a good year! Hope yours has been good too!

Holts Summit Christmas Parade 2018

It was a chilly 34 degrees but sunny day for the Christmas parade.  This year there were 3 marching bands.. I admit, I'm like a little kid on Christmas morning, when it comes to marching bands. I love the energy of the bands! The grandson made a haul on candy! Great parade & we finished it off with hot chocolate to warm us.

Snow!

My husband and I drove to Fulton yesterday. We enjoyed dinner at Brooklyn Pizza and seeing some Christmas lights. Not long after we returned home, my husband says it is snowing. At first it is light then it really picked up!
Now we have falling leaves along with snow! Not something we see very often in MO but it does happen. Made for a beautiful drive to Columbia this morning. I love snow but these cold temperatures normally don't hit until late December. I do love snow but I was still trying to enjoy Fall with the warm days and cold nights. Now it is just Cold!

Last camping trip of 2018

This is the last camping trip of 2018 at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. I love camping in the Fall. Most the bugs are gone. Warm days and cool nights. I prefer camping in the Fall over any other season. We had a great time with our friends, We took our grandson  and our friend's son Trick or Treating on the Bagnel Strip. HyVee even had some festivities! The boys played for hours at the play grounds. Beautiful weather! Loads of fun! Looking forward to April 2019 to plan our first trip!
