Today is the first fay of Spring but it didn't feel like it. There was snow on the ground this morning. And my grandson will be at his dad's on Easter so we dyed our eggs today. He has been super excited all day to dye the eggs and after dinner, we covered the table with newspaper and colored our eggs. We only cracked 2 this year and surprisingly, neither time was Mason. I think they turned out pretty.
I love to take photos, make quilts and camping. Most of my photos are taken around Missouri, the state I was born and raised in. I hope you enjoy my photos and love my great state as much as I do!

Chilly Easter Egg Hunt
Our town had the annual Easter Egg Hunt this morning. After being so warm the last few weeks, when it's the normal temperature, we all freeze. At least it was sunny. Mason found a bunch of eggs and even a coupon for free bread sticks from Pizza Hut but was much more excited about the candy. Sadly, Mason is still scared to death of the Easter Bunny. Maybe next year he won't be as scary.

Happy St Patrick's Day
A day late but I hope it was a happy day and as beautiful as it was here in Mid Missouri. St Patrick's Day is a special day for me. Not because I am Irish, because 29 years ago, I had a beautiful baby boy. It was a warm day, much like yesterday was. The magnolia tree was full of blooms, where I lived at the time. My back kept cramping up so I called the doctor and he said for me to come in and get checked. That was sometime in the afternoon but by 10:15 that night, I had a beautiful baby in my arms.

Ahhhh Spring
It's been rather warm in mid Missouri. So warm some people, just a few hours South, are finding morel mushrooms already! Today the temperatures are in the 80s. I know all of you summer lovers are loving this but I'm a cool weather person. Today is too warm for me and my Corgis! But I am enjoying all the budding plants! I just wish it would cool back off to normal temperatures for this time of year. I don't want to run my A/C next month on my first camping trip. I am really excited for our annual trip coming up, when DNR turns the water back on in the parks. We only went one time last year. Unfortunately, my husband was sick last fall and last summer was too warm, for our liking, to camp.

And now, for the time change issue. I don't like it, most people I know, have never liked it, so do we really need to wake up an hour earlier for the farmers now that they have headlights on the tractors???
Have a great day!

Warm Spring Day
Today is usually warm, the temperature is close to 80. My little grandson is home sick with us today. He had his first throat culture today & let's just say it caused a nasty reaction. While Mason was napping, I walked around the yard, looking at all the flowers. It reminded me of 1987, the year my son was born. That year we also had an early Spring. Where I was living had a huge beautiful magnolia tree in the yard. It had completely bloomed that year, before St Patrick's Day. My son was born on St Patrick's Day, an unusually warm day that year. That night, there was a big thunderstorm. The lights even went out in the old St Mary's Hospital. And following the thunderstorm were very cold temperatures. I hope this early Spring in not a repeat of 1987.

RV show
My husband and I drove down South to the annual Springfield, Missouri RV show. It's not as big as KC or St Louis's but it is still a nice show. We saw a few we really liked and we know what we want to upgrade to someday. Somewhere along the way, I lost a bracelet my parents go for me in Australia, so I didn't have the best day. However the weather was perfect and I enjoyed spending the day with my husband.
