Meramec State Park 2013

 This was our 4th annual trip to Meramec State Park. This is one of the most pretty parks, in my opinion, we have in the state. We has a very nice time. as always, and couldn't ask for better weather.

The Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival

I wish I had more photos of the Pumpkin Festival but I was in the throws of catching a head cold. I took one of one of the roads in Hartsburg, a bunch of my grandson and one in my front yard.

October

You all know the Christmas Song, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year? Well that song fits October for me. I love Fall. We will be camping later this month and I'm beyond ready to go.The leaves are starting to change in my area.

Nuts and quilts

There's a new quilt store in Jefferson City. I found some really cute snowman fabric there and then they showed me a template called hickory nuts. I have made a few so far. Not sure if I want to make another mug rug or just individual coasters. And then I finally got my grandson's quilt done. He's  6 months old now with a tooth. Absolutely the love of my life!

2013 Missouri State Fair

The 2013 state fair was fun as always. My favorite things are the animals and quilts. Yesterday they had a mule show although I'd prefer the dog obedience , I did enjoy the mini mules pulling carts.

I can't believe it's August and summer is almost over. My grandson will be 6 months old this month and my favorite season is around the corner.
I was in Joplin this past weekend to visit my BFF and family. Always a great time visiting them. Here are a few photos from the Route 66 Festival and the sky last night after I returned home.

July is blackberry season
