I have worked the Real Voices Real Choices conference for 8 years and I loved it very much but it is time for me to pass the torch. I made great friends on the conference and attendees as well. Great memories and great people.
This conference is put on for consumers, for consumers, who live with substance use disorder, mental illness and developmental disabilities. We have presentations given by consumers, games, movies, an art room.... we pack the conference full of education and fun!
I love to take photos, make quilts and camping. Most of my photos are taken around Missouri, the state I was born and raised in. I hope you enjoy my photos and love my great state as much as I do!

Growing up too fast
This week, my grandson, started kindergarten. Hard to believe he is in school! Seems like yesterday he was in diapers and taking a bottle. I called him after his first day and asked how it was and he had a great day! Grandma's boy is growing up too fast!

Fair, creek and pool
Welcome August! Summer is winding down & the kids will be headed back to school in a matter of weeks. My grandson will be starting kindergarten this month but this weekend we had fun! Friday night, we went to the Cole County Fair and afterwards we had snow cones.
Saturday we visited Runge Nature Center & even hiked to a creek. The nature center guy taught is all about creatures that live in it. Mason caught a few crawdads and even some minnows.
Today we went swimming & made a trip to Central Dairy Ice cream parlor.
Great summer weekend and I'm one tired grandma but loved spending time together!
