Not quite camping but...

I was sick earlier this month and now my husband has the crud. We had to cancel our annual camping trip to Meramec State Park. The weather hasn't been the best but I was really looking forward to taking our dogs and heading out. However, a friend of mine, offered me to come to where she was camping and I took her up on it. The campsites had decorations and the kids trick or treated the campgrounds as well as they do at Meramec State Park. I had a great time today and was so happy to get out of the house and into the woods for a bit.

2015 Pumpkin Fest

My husband and I attended the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival this morning. We like to get there early and leave early. I've been sick but I love this festival. Hopefully next year we can take our grandson with us. Here's some photos of the festival.

Fall colors

My backyard is so pretty. I love all the colors but it's been a little warm lately. I've been working on a quilt for an upcoming wedding a little less than 2 weeks away.

The Moving Wall

It has been a great weekend! My husband celebrated his birthday, at the Lake of the Ozarks,
with friends. Today we went to the capitol to see the Moving Wall. The weather has been really nice too. A little warm but nice! We had a few sprinkles today, we could really use some rain!
We got to the Lake around 3 yesterday

I used to collect stamps. Would have loved these!

Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival

We could not of asked for better weather today. Temperatures in the low 70's and clear skies. California, MO had their annual Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival. My husband, my daughter, her friend, my grandson and myself had a nice time. I love all the craft booths and we had some wonderful food from El Salvador called pupupas. Pork, beans and cheese fried in a homemade tortilla topped with a slaw and salsa. Very tasty!
