I love going to the state fair to see all the FFA and 4H projects. To me it's the best part of the fair. The weather was wonderful too, 60'S in the morning and low 80's by 3. Great day but I am pooped!
I love to take photos, make quilts and camping. Most of my photos are taken around Missouri, the state I was born and raised in. I hope you enjoy my photos and love my great state as much as I do!

Fair
The Cole County fair ended last Sat. My husband and I met some friends at the fair and went one night. It wasn't too hot and they had bull riding and barrel racing. Not my husbands favorite but both are a big favorite of mine. I enjoyed the mutton busting and calf riding. The clown was funny too. I
am looking forward to the Missouri State Fair. I love to see all the projects kids have made.

UFO
What do quilters call unfinished quilts? UFO; Unfinished object. I had made this turning twenty years ago. I have never been a red fan, I made this for my son but he said it was too foo foo. So I put it in the bottom of a tub of fabric and forgot about it until I saw it while looking for a something. I never had it quilted until now and here it is. I am donating it to a conference I'm attending next month. I'm sure someone will love the quilt I made many years ago.

New pattern
I had recently been to a resell shop in Jefferson City. I found a table runner pattern there for .25 and bought it. I have made all kinds of holiday table runners, especially Halloween ones. My favorite holiday. I love Fall and am beyond ready for sweatshirt weather. This heat is awful and on Tuesday the heat index is supposed to be 111. Yuck!

Rain
We have had a lot of rain lately. The Missouri River has been very high and causing creeks to swell and come out of their banks. This morning started off sunny and in the low 70's but as the day heated up, so did the storms. Needless to say we have flood warnings out for my county and the surrounding area.
| The weather forecast calls for rain every day this coming week. |
| The sunflowers are all starting to bloom. |

Art in the Park
My husband and I went to Columbia, MO today to see what Art in the Park was all about. I loved it! I couldn't take photos of the photography booths but Wow! Some really amazing artists! We missed one row but it was getting so sticky. We have had so much rain lately and now the temperatures are in the 80's. Makes for really humid day! This is my first time to Art in the Park and I hope to go again! Some amazing art work!
